Just Some of the National Obesity Surgery
Centre's Success Stories
At the NOSC, we are always extremely grateful when any of our patients agree that we can tell their stories. Understandably, many do not wish for their photos to be published.
Janice, aged 54, BMI 48
This time last year I weighed 19st 12lbs. I have had a serious chronic foot condition for many years, which has limited my mobility considerably. My weight, combined with my arthritis,
meant I could barely walk. I tried to lose weight by eating less and shed a couple
of stone. But after the initial weight loss I found it impossible to get any
thinner.
Then I saw an advert for The National Obesity Surgery Centre. They implant
balloons filled with saline into your stomach and this stops you being able to
overeat.
From
the start it altered my eating habits. I felt so bloated if I tried to eat too
much that I stopped bothering. As the months passed, the weight dropped off.
I’ve now lost 5 stone. My eating habits have changed completely and I can
walk much better. I can’t recommend it enough. It’s definitely changed
my life.
