Miss Sharp is a Glasgow graduate who trained in the West of Scotland. She gained an MSc from the University of Glasgow in 2005 and became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2007
Her special interests include Upper GI Surgery (including endoscopy and oesophago-gastric cancer resections) laparoscopic surgery (anti reflux surgery and hernia repair) and Bariatric Surgery. After training in laparoscopic Gastric Banding in Glasgow Miss Sharp obtained a sponsored Fellowship in Bariatric Surgery in the South East of England.
She is a Consultant General Surgeon in Kilmarnock and is a Member of the Association of Upper GI Surgeons and a Member of the British Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society.
