The Allurion Gastric Balloon
It starts off as a Capsule which you swallow, inside the capsule is the balloon which will open once it reaches your stomach just like a normal Tablet.
Attached to the balloon is the filler tube which once filled will be removed and leave you with a fully filled balloon. At the end of the 16 weeks your balloon self opens and passes naturally next time you go to the bathroom.

The Allurion Balloon is a soft balloon placed in your stomach. It is the first gastric balloon that requires no surgery, endoscopy, or anaesthesia for placement or removal. The balloon is placed in a capsule that can be swallowed under X ray and your doctor will inflate the balloon once it reaches the stomach via a tube. The Allurion Balloon creates a feeling of fullness, allowing you to eat less without the hunger that accompanies most diets. Yes – you are asked to take a Proton Pump Inhibtor, this helps you throughout the duration of the balloon to manage what Gastric Reflux you may get. Also you will receive any sickness medication for the day and days after your balloon placement – These are included in the price.
